Walking

As the name suggests, the photo walk is a photo walk in Henley on Thames, so it involves some walking. Over the 4 hours we will cover between 3-5km. However, if you have difficulties walking, please get in touch and I will try to work with you to adjust the walking to fit your needs. A wheelchair friendly option is available.

The photography quick start is based in a single location and does not involve much walking, however, you will be on your feet for the 2 hours.

Weather

Standing in the rain for 4 hours is no fun, no matter how much you want to learn about photography. Not to mention what it could do to your camera equipment. I will check the Met Office weather forecast a few days before your booking, if heavy rain is forecast then I will contact you to rebook.

To Bring

It can get very cold, especially by the river, so please bring plenty of layers so that you can keep warm, it is hard to concentrate when your freezing cold. Hats and gloves are recommended during the colder months. The weather forecasts do get it wrong occasionally, so it is worth bringing waterproof clothes and a waterproof bag for your equipment.

To get the most out of the course you may choose to get down on the floor, therefore, I recommend that you wear something you don’t mind getting dirty.

Sensible shoes, boots or trainers are recommended. We will be going onto grassy areas so your shoes may get muddy.

You may wish to brings some snacks and water.
